ART OF THE LOUVRE - Discovery/History/Museum (documentary)
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1FioBxo-ZasSqtr3t3je6A This is a 2014 HBO documentary film directed by Chris Moukarbel about Banksy's Better Out Than In project. The documentary covers Banksy's one-month residency in October, 2013, in which the artist presented a new work of art daily and announced the locations via an Instagram account each morning. Among the artworks filmed and described are a cement sphinx, a truck of moving puppet farm animals driven and parked in front of various New York butchers and meat markets, paintings which were sold for a day in Central Park for $60 each which were then estimated to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, and the Banality of the Banality of Evil which portrays a man dressed as a nazi peacefully sitting and looking out over an already existing landscape from - and then donated back to - a charitable thrift shop.

Working Class tells the tale of underground artists Mike Giant and Mike Maxwell and their decade long friendship that started with a tattoo. Loosely based on "A Tale of Two Cities", the story is told by cutting back and fourth between the neighborhoods of San Francisco and San Diego as we learn how their city shapes their art. ABOUT THE DIRECTOR: Jeff Durkin is an award winning Film Director who makes commercial documentaries, brand films, and design videos for the digital age. With a focus on documentary storytelling he has worked in a wide range of industries from Hi-Tech to endurance sports, but his background as an architect has allowed him to work with brands/companies that have a strong focus on design. With a degree in Architectural Theory from UC Berkeley, Jeff makes smart, modern, beautiful films that use real voices to tell the story. By mixing the visual elements of design (negative space, typography, composition/juxtaposition) with "fly on the wall" documentary filmmaking Jeff has created a unique style that has captured the attention of the industry. http://breadtruckfilms.com/ CONNECT WITH ME - Twitter: https://twitter.com/theSPORKguy Tumblr: http://iamsterl.tumblr.com/ Letterboxd: http://letterboxd.com/thesporkguy/
